I just read "Will Little Note, Nor Long Remember" by Jack Clemons on Amazing Stories. With all the recent pop culture interest in Abraham Lincoln it's not surprising to find a short story to explore the backdrop of his assassination day. This is an intriguing premise, and an engrossing read. However the story adds up to too many red herrings to have a satisfying ending. Despite this, it is still recommended for its very fluid narrative and clear presentation of character point of view and motivation.
